We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve

I've recently witnessed the beginnings of a friend's abusive relationship with their family. I've seen difficult parents before but this was beyond that. I also recently watched the movie Perks of Being A Wallflower. A wonderful movie where the quote, "We accept the love we think we deserve" originated (as far as I know). I have a fear of abusive relationships, which may sound silly but the thought literally makes my chest tighten and my stomach churn. People in abusive relationships may not know they're in one. They even make excuses for the abusers. Please, if you see someone you know in this situation, take time to help them realize and break free from this.
No one deserves to be abused. If you are in this situation and you are reading this, YOU DO NOT DESERVE THAT! You are better than that. You are beautiful and amazing and I wish I knew you so I could get to know you because I just know that you are amazing. Find someone to love you. Find a friend. I'm here. Shoot me a message any time of the day and I'll get back to you. You can find love.
